Join us in a prayer of thanksgiving as our synod celebrates the installation of four pastors in the month of October.

Ever-living God, strengthen and sustain Rev. Brian Weinberger, Rev. Sandy Jones, and Rev. Ryan Hersch, that with patience and understanding they may love and care for your people. Grant that together they may follow in the way of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Ordination of Beth Gallen

On Saturday, March 13, Beth Gallen will be ordained into the Ministry of Word and Sacrament of the ELCA. The service will be live streamed on Saturday, March 13 at 10:30 am through Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church's YouTube channel. Her son will also be baptized in the service. Join the celebration!

Pastor Ben Bergren installed as Senior Pastor at Community Lutheran Church in Las Vegas

Pastor Ben Bergren was installed as the new Senior Pastor at Community Lutheran Church in Las Vegas on November 16, 2019. He begins a new chapter for the church that has had only two other Senior Pastors in its 46 year history. Bishop Deborah Hutterer installed Pastor Ben and other pastors in the Las Vegas Valley came for the event.

Rev. Rebecca Boardman is the new Campus Pastor at U of A

The Lutheran Campus Ministry Board at the University of Arizona is pleased and happy to announce that the Grand Canyon Synod has called the Rev. Rebecca Boardman as the new Campus Pastor at the U of A. Rebecca will be relocating to Tucson in early June and plans to join us at the synod assembly. Please keep Pastor Rebecca and the LCM at U of A in your prayers as we continue the transition into this new era of ministry.
