As we prepare for the 2025 Grand Canyon Synod Assembly, we invite you to share the ways God is at work in your congregation and community. This is an opportunity for ministries across our synod to tell their stories—stories of service, growth, resilience, and faith.
Submissions are due by May 9, 2025, and can be sent to Brian Flatgard, Communications Director, at bflatgard@gcsynod.org. We welcome a variety of formats, including written reflections, photos, short videos, or audio recordings. Whether it’s a new outreach effort, a powerful moment of faith, or a ministry that has been a blessing, we want to hear it. Submissions should be concise—ideally 2-3 minutes in length if you’re using video—to fit our assembly format.
This year’s assembly theme, “Build Up the Body,” draws from Ephesians 4:12-13, which reminds us of our calling to equip one another for ministry and grow together in Christ. As you craft your story, consider how your experiences reflect this theme and how your ministry strengthens the wider church.
While we won’t be able to feature every story during the assembly, we plan to share around 50 stories through our blog, Facebook page, and weekly newsletter, and all submissions will be gathered on a special assembly page.
Need help putting together a video? Check out our video resource page at gcsynod.org/video for tips.
The Holy Spirit moves through our shared witness—so be bold, be creative, and most of all, have fun with it! The sooner you submit, the more we can highlight your incredible contributions to our synod.
