Nobody Journeys Alone: Join ELCA Coaching for Beloved Community Gatherings

As people of faith, we know that healing happens in community. ELCA Coaching invites you to join our third-Wednesday gatherings through 2025 as we cultivate spaces for connection, courage, and care. Facilitated by Jen Kunka and Rev. Carlton Rodgers, these sessions will not be recorded, creating an intentional, supportive environment where participants can fully engage.

We began these gatherings in 2020, responding to the challenges of pandemic-era ministry, and have continued as we move toward Creating Beloved Community: Healing Together. This is a space for anyone in any season of life—clergy, lay leaders, or those simply seeking connection. Together, we lean into the sacred practice of vulnerability, bridging the gap between head and heart as we deepen our faith.

These gatherings are rooted in the Lutheran call to love our neighbors and are informed by theological and justice-centered resources such as MLK’s vision of the Beloved Community, ELCA’s Truth and Healing Movement, and The Four Pivots by Dr. Shawn Ginwright. We seek to embody a faith that is expansive, courageous, and deeply connected to the world around us.

What to Expect:

• A safe and brave space for reflection, prayer, and shared wisdom

• A chance to experience care, clarity, and connection in community

• A faith-centered dialogue that honors diverse voices and sacred practices

• A risk worth taking—stepping out of isolation into the support of others

Whether you consider yourself a leader or not, you are welcome in this space. Community requires trust, and we invite you to bring an open heart and spirit of curiosity as we journey together.
