Life Experiences: I have served as a parish Pastor in the ELCA for the last 24 years. As part of my call to the congregation, I have always been active in the ELCA and/or the synod as an extension of that ministry. I have served as the Chair of the SC Synod Always Being Made New Capital Campaign for the ELCA, as well as on the ELCA Rostered Leaders Gathering planning committee.
At the synod level, I have served as Dean of the Fiesta Conference over the last five years, on the candidacy committee as well as a number of other roles in the SC Synod. I truly believe that when we work together, we are stronger as a church. The ELCA Assembly is where this work comes together, and I saw this firsthand when I served as voting member to the CWA in 2022. The variety of roles I have held have prepared me to serve in this role as voting member to the ELCA 2025 Churchwide Assembly.
