NAUM Secures $10,000 Grant to Enrich Native American Community in Phoenix
The Native American Urban Ministry (NAUM) has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Cook Native American Ministries Foundation for 2024. This grant will support the expansion of NAUM's "Living Our Values Everyday" (LOVE) Project, aimed at fostering personal development, leadership skills, and community service among Native American youth, adults, and elders in Phoenix.
The Basic Grant goals for “Living Our Values Everyday” (LOVE) Project include:
NAUM will provide ongoing (2-3 hours a week) Support and Personal Development Training to
Adults and Elders and available youth.NAUM will provide up to 12 weeks of Culturally Respectful Leadership Training to Youth, Adults
and Elders.NAUM will organize and implement quarterly Service Activities with Youth, Adults and Elders to
participate and contribute to the Native Phoenix Community.NAUM will organize monthly and quarterly Cultural/Spiritual Experiences for the Youth and Elders participation.
