The Kino Conference Spring Gathering is at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Tucson, on Saturday, Feb 3, 2024, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM (watch livestream here), and the Spring Gathering for Cactus, Capital, Fiesta, Northeast Valley and Rio Salado Conferences will be held at Living Water Lutheran on Sunday, Feb 4, 2024, 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM (view the livestream here).

We share an article from the Fountain Hills Times Independent featuring the churches of the Northeast Valley Consortium (Ascension, Christ the Lord, Living Water, New Covenant, and New Journey) and Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest and other partners. They helped pack over 200 welcome bags for refugees in Phoenix, offering essential items and a beacon of hope to those arriving from strife-torn regions.

225 volunteers provide 72,000 meals at Fountain Hills Food Pack

Thanks to the generosity of 225 volunteers, the March 2 Fountain Hills Food Pack for “Food for Kidz” provided 72,000 meals for hungry neighbors near and far. Read the full article in the Fountain Hills Times.

The ecumenical activity was organized by New Journey Lutheran Church and supported by Church of the Ascension and Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran. Many other groups and individuals helped provide financing and volunteers including the Northeast Valley Consortium, Fountain Hills Presbyterian, Noon Kiwanis, Thrivent, Messinger Mortuary and Safeway.

Culture Matters: Seeing Worship Through Another’s Eyes

Join Association of Lutheran Church Musicians (ALCM) at Ascension Lutheran in Paradise Valley, Arizona on February 4, 2023, 9am – 3::30pm for a workshop exploring music from a variety of cultures. Register on the ALCM website.
