This week, the Office of the Bishop team hits the road and attends a number of events in person and virtually, including Pacifica Synod Assembly, Festival of Homiletics, Denver, CO, Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary Graduation, and the Installation of Rev. John Maroni at Shepherd of the Desert in Sun City.

This week, the Office of the Bishop team continues our ministry in meetings, assembly preparation, and the day-to-day presence to all our partner ministries.

This week, the Office of the Bishop team preaches at various congregations, attends board meetings, and keeps the business of the office moving through yearly scheduled audits. We also include photos from First Call Theological Education.

Along with updates from the team, in this update we share photos from Bishop Hutterer’s visit to preach at Emmanuel Sudanese in Glendale, where she recognized Solomon Kuch as the congregation leader.

Bishop Hutterer and Pastor Jacqui Pagel will attend Faith Formation In A Secular Age, the Luther Seminary event at Living Water with Dr. Andy Root. As usual, staff travels around the synod to preach and visit.

At our in-office staff retreat on Wednesday, we were visited by Rev. Lisa Kipp, who updated us on the latest relief efforts by Lutheran World Relief.
