Pastor Jason Adams will be installed at Good Samaritan, The Lakes Lutheran Church (8200 W. Sahara, Las Vegas NV 89117), on Friday, 10/21/2022, at 5 pm, with a reception to follow.

Peanut Butter Wars 2022 winner announced

Lutheran Social Services of Nevada (LSSN) announces the winner and results of their peanut butter wars.

Saint Andrew Lutheran Church collected 690 pounds!
Christ the Servant Lutheran Church collected 2800 pounds!
Good Samaritan Lutheran Church collected 4736 pounds!
Community Lutheran Church collected 6065 pounds!
Holy Spirit Lutheran Church Las Vegas collected 6193 pounds!
Living Hope Lutheran Church collected 15197 pounds!
New Song Church Anthem collected a grand total of 29,330 pounds and is the official 2022 Peanut Butter Wars Champion!

Leadership Lab returns to in-person gathering at Augustana College

Leadership Lab, a youth ministry program of the three Illinois synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), successfully returned to meeting in person on the Augustana College campus from June 20th - 25th. The Grand Canyon Synod saw participants from Living Hope Lutheran - Las Vegas, Good Samaritan- Las Vegas, Central Lutheran, Arizona City & Casa Grande AZ, and Holy Trinity Lutheran- Chandler. Who Won the Peanut Butter Wars? 39,019 pounds gathered!

After a hard, month-long battle, the war is finally over! Lutheran Social Services of Nevada is humbled by the outpouring of support they received from our congregations. With the help of six local churches, they collected 39,019 pounds of peanut butter over the course of July-- by far their greatest total yet! Who won?
