2022 Central Lutheran Adult Community Education assembly report

In this report, Central Lutheran in Arizona City and Casa Grande updates us on their seventh year of Adult Community Education (ACE), made possible partially with help from a Grand Canyon Synod Grant.

Participants are not affiliated with the congregation. The age of participants ranges from 18 to 55 years. Ninety-eight percent of the participant roster has been Hispanic, 1 percent Asian, and 1 percent White (non-Hispanic). The targeted recipients of the program include an underserved segment of adults in the community with the following characteristics:

• Do not thrive in the traditional classroom-based setting due to significant remediation needs

• Require support in Spanish to achieve their education goals

• Desire to improve their English language skills
