Time to Report: Submit Your Congregation’s Annual Report by March 1
The portal is now open for submitting your congregation’s Annual Congregation Report (Form A) online. This essential report provides a snapshot of the vitality and ministry of our congregations across the ELCA and helps inform future churchwide and synodical planning. The deadline to submit your report is March 1, 2025.
To access the portal, visit this link. You will need your congregation ID and password, which was sent via email. If you did not receive this information, please contact the Office of the Bishop for assistance. If someone else in your congregation completes this form, kindly forward this email to them.
What’s New This Year?
This year, the ELCA has launched a new and improved platform for submitting the Annual Congregation Report, making it easier than ever to complete. Here’s what’s changed:
Your previous year’s data is now displayed alongside the current form, making it easier to track changes.
Instructions and definitions are embedded directly within the form for clarity.
The form is now available in both English and Spanish.
Congregation contact details can be updated directly within the form—no need to visit a separate site.
How to Complete the Report
Online Submission: Fill out and submit the form electronically at ELCA.org/congregationreport.
Paper Submission: Download and print a copy at ELCA.org/reportinstructions. Completed forms should be mailed to the synod office. If you require a pre-filled paper form, request one by emailing research@elca.org.
