Send a Full, Faithful Delegation to Synod Assembly 2025
Make sure you’re sending a full roster of voting members for the 2025 Synod Assembly, taking place June 12–13, 2025, in Las Vegas, NV.
Every congregation plays a vital role in shaping the ministry and mission of our synod through the voice and vote of their elected lay leaders. And like last year, congregations have the opportunity to bring even more voices to the table.
Congregations can elect two lay voting members—and in many cases more. Based on the size of your baptized membership, your congregation may be eligible for up to ten lay voting members. (See our determining voters page for a full breakdown.)
Plus, congregations are encouraged to elect two additional lay voting members:
One youth (confirmed to age 17) or young adult (age 18–30)
One person of color or person whose primary language is other than English
These two additional members are in addition to the total number your congregation is normally allotted. Including these voices is one way we live into our calling as the body of Christ—diverse, gifted, and led by the Spirit.
Congregations should also aim for gender balance among their delegation, striving for equal numbers of male and female voting members whenever possible.
