Build Up the Body: Our 2025 Theme to Strengthen Faith and Unity
The Grand Canyon Synod is thrilled to announce our theme for 2025: “Build Up the Body”, inspired by Ephesians 4:12-13: ”…to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ.”
This theme calls us to focus on unity, growth, and service as we navigate the coming year, particularly in challenging times. Together, we will strengthen our connections as members of the body of Christ, fostering hope and resilience in our faith communities.
Each of our annual events—our spring gatherings, our 2025 assembly in Las Vegas, and our Bishop's Fall Gathering—offer an opportunity to engage with our theme and to explore how we can grow together as disciples in Christ.
Why This Theme Matters
Ephesians 4 reminds us that the church is more than a building; it is a living, breathing body. Each of us has been given gifts to strengthen our collective ministry and build resilience in the face of division or despair. In 2025, we invite you to reflect on how your congregation, ministry, or individual gifts can contribute to equipping and strengthening the body of Christ.
As we embark on this journey together, let us commit to growing in faith, love, and service, so that we may “reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God.”
