Como parte de nuestro compromiso continuo con la accesibilidad y la bienvenida, el Sínodo del Gran Cañón ha invertido en un nuevo sistema de traducción al español, reemplazando el equipo antiguo que durante mucho tiempo limitó la participación significativa de asistentes hispanohablantes. Este paso importante garantiza que nuestra Asamblea del Sínodo 2025, y futuros eventos del sínodo, sean espacios donde más voces puedan ser plenamente escuchadas y comprendidas.
Nos complace anunciar que Anabel Estrada será nuestra traductora oficial. Anabel aporta una gran experiencia y un espíritu de hospitalidad que refleja los valores de nuestro sínodo. Ella es la administradora en San Juan Bautista, y su hija, Layra Siqueiros, sirve como Representante de la Juventud en el Consejo del Sínodo. Con su liderazgo y el nuevo sistema de traducción, los participantes de habla hispana recibirán traducción simultánea clara y confiable durante toda la asamblea.
Esta inversión refleja la visión centrada en el Evangelio de la ELCA: una iglesia donde todas las personas son bienvenidas, valoradas y capacitadas para participar plenamente en la vida de la iglesia. Como nos recuerda Pablo en 1 Corintios 12, somos un solo cuerpo con muchos miembros. Brindar acceso lingüístico en tiempo real es una forma concreta de vivir esa unidad en la diversidad.
El nuevo sistema estará en funcionamiento durante la Asamblea del Sínodo 2025, y se proporcionarán detalles sobre cómo acceder a los servicios de traducción en las comunicaciones previas a la asamblea y durante el registro en el sitio.

As part of our ongoing commitment to accessibility and welcome, the Grand Canyon Synod has invested in brand-new Spanish translation equipment—replacing the outdated system we’ve had for years. This important step ensures that our 2025 Synod Assembly and future synod events are places where more voices can be fully heard and understood.
We are delighted to announce that Anabel Estrada will serve as our official translator. Anabel brings deep experience and a spirit of hospitality that reflects our synod’s values. She is the administrator at San Juan Bautista, and her daughter, Layra Siqueiros, serves as the Youth Representative on the Synod Council. With her leadership and our improved translation system, Spanish-speaking participants will receive clearer, more reliable real-time translation throughout the assembly.
This investment reflects the Gospel-centered vision of the ELCA—where all people are welcomed, valued, and empowered to participate fully in the life of the church. As Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 12, we are one body with many members. Providing real-time language access is one way we live out that unity in diversity.
