Tech help volunteers needed for day of assembly
We’re looking for tech-savvy volunteers who can take calls on the day of assembly, Saturday, June 12, 2021.
If you’re a Zoom guru and have experience helping people with the technical aspects of connecting to Zoom with a variety of devices, please contact Theresa Thornburgh, office@gcsynod.org, and let us know you’ll help. Thanks!

I’m looking for some Zoom-savvy volunteers to assist voting members on the day of Synod Assembly. If you have been regularly arranging, hosting, or participating in Zoom meetings, I could use your help! As some of the voting delegates may not be very experienced with Zoom, even though they will have been through one (or more) of our “Tech Check” trainings they may still run into issues the morning of the Assembly. They will just need a friendly voice on the other end to help trouble-shoot their issue and help them get into the meeting, or help solve whatever issue they are having during the meeting. The busiest period will likely be from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, though I would like to keep a few volunteers available at least until after we return from lunch. You will NOT need to be onsite to do this – it can be done from the comfort of your own home. What will be needed from you would be availability starting at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, a good internet connection, a telephone number where I can reach you, and your attendance at one of our tech training sessions. Please email me if you are interested, and I will be happy to provide more details!
Thank you for considering helping with this important project.
