As the Grand Canyon Synod and ELCA Churchwide prepare to send a delegation to Senegal on March 5-13, 2024, the journey marks a significant step in building and nurturing the relationship with The Lutheran Church of Senegal. Bishop Hutterer, Cheryl Jones, Pastor Lourdes Olson and her husband Dan, along with Alison Richard, the Program Director for Companion Engagement at ELCA, represent our shared commitment to global partnership and mutual learning.
This trip is not just about strengthening ties but also about exploring new avenues for collaboration, understanding, and serving together in faith. It embodies our dedication to living out the Gospel beyond borders, fostering connections that enrich both our communities and our understanding of what it means to be a part of the worldwide body of Christ.
