This October, Lutherans Restoring Creation (LRC) invites you to weave your faith into action, embracing the stewardship of our planet as an expression of God's love. As we face the climate crisis, our actions and voices are more crucial than ever. Understanding this urgency, LRC is offering several transformative opportunities.
Firstly, don't miss the chance to deepen your understanding of ecological advocacy as an aspect of your spiritual journey through the live Ecumenical Training on October 28, 2023. Registration is open, and we encourage everyone, regardless of your denominational background, to join this essential conversation.
Additionally, our resource hub continues to grow, brimming with educational materials and actionable guidance. If you haven't yet, explore these resources and consider nominating a church to receive an outreach kit. These kits are invaluable tools in mobilizing our congregations towards environmental consciousness and action.
In a significant stride towards our mission, LRC is excited to announce a paid, 9-month Fellowship opportunity for young adults. We're seeking candidates who bring diverse perspectives, particularly from LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC & Latinx communities, and individuals with disabilities, among others. This fellowship is not just a job—it's a chance to intertwine your career with your calling, all while making a tangible impact.
Last month's 'Updates from the Field' highlighted the need for accessible guidance on utilizing our online resources. Responding to this, we've prepared an instructional video (available on our platform) to navigate these essential tools effectively.
Looking ahead, we have a slate of engaging events, including an urgent discussion on the new papal document regarding the climate crisis, and our Connections Call, focused on enhancing communication within our ministry.
Remember, faith in action is loud! If your congregation has an action plan, share it with us. If not, we urge you to initiate the conversation and start plotting your course. Every step, fueled by faith, makes a difference.
