About the Role
As the Director for Evangelical Mission, you will be instrumental in nurturing “Communities of Jesus” that foster life-changing relationships with God, each other, and the wider world. This position centers on enhancing congregational vitality and leadership within the Grand Canyon Synod and advancing our commitments to diverse communities including ethnic-specific groups, people with disabilities, the youth, and those experiencing poverty.
The role involves strategizing and deploying educational programs for synod staff and enhancing congregational engagement to deepen knowledge and practice of Jesus’ teachings. The director will work under the dual supervision of the Synod Bishop and Christian Community and Leadership (CCL) staff, reflecting our synod’s dedication to a collaborative and interdependent ministry.

Formulate and guide synod teams focused on congregational vitality and mission development.
Manage ministry portfolios and oversee the granting process to support vibrant community initiatives.
