Introducing Synod Spotlight: Celebrating Our Community

We are excited to introduce a new feature in our blog and weekly newsletter: Synod Spotlight. This section is dedicated to celebrating and lifting up the everyday work of our congregations, ministries, and partners at various levels—from local to global.

Synod Spotlight will provide a platform to bring awareness to the diverse and vibrant activities that make up our shared life in the Grand Canyon Synod. Each week, we will highlight the efforts and stories of individuals and organizations that embody our Lutheran commitment to faith and service. Whether it’s praying for a local congregation, a synod-level ministry initiative, an ELCA program, or global mission work, Synod Spotlight will showcase the meaningful ways we are making a difference together.

Our publishing schedule will include:

• Monday: Features on a specific area, ministry, organization, or person within the Grand Canyon Synod.

• Tuesday: Highlights from Region 2.

• Wednesday: ELCA-wide features and prayer focuses.

• Thursday: Celebrations of ordination anniversaries and updates from the Office of the Bishop.

• Friday: Global church highlights and news from the Lutheran World Federation.

• Saturday and Sunday: Prayers for specific synod worshiping communities and individuals.

We believe that by sharing these stories, we can foster a deeper connection within our synod and beyond, celebrating our collective efforts as one church. We invite you to join us in this journey, exploring the rich tapestry of faith and service that defines our community.
