ELCA World Hunger provides new Advent and Lent Resources
New resources are now available from ELCA World Hunger to enrich the life of your congregation in Advent 2024 and Lent 2025. As congregations across the ELCA creatively find new ways to lean into the future, we are eager to equip leaders with ELCA World Hunger resources for the important church seasons of Advent and Lent.
ELCA World Hunger invites you into a celebration of storytelling through “Humming With the Word,” the theme for this year’s seasonal resources. Hear where God is active in the stories of others and consider where your own stories intersect with God’s story.
We’re counting on your support, courage and creativity as you engage your congregation in the work of ELCA World Hunger. You will be getting a pack of resources in the mail and will be able to order or download free versions at ELCA.org/hunger/resources. There you will find:
An action guide for congregations full of ideas for how to engage your members in the work of ending hunger.
A weekly Advent study that can be used in groups or individually at home.
A new Advent calendar that members can enjoy with their families at home.
A new ELCA Good Gifts poster to raise awareness for your congregation's fundraising events this Christmas season.
A daily devotional Lent calendarthat members can use at home to inspire reflection.
