Breaking the Stigma: Pastoring with a Dual Diagnosis – Free Webinar on March 26
Clergy often carry the weight of their congregations’ joys and struggles, but what happens when a pastor is also navigating personal challenges with mental health and addiction recovery? The Center of Addiction & Faith invites you to a free, one-hour webinar on March 26, 2025, from 12:00-1:00 PM CT, titled “Pastoring with a Dual Diagnosis with Seth Perry.”
The Rev. Seth Perry, pastor at Elim Lutheran Church in Scandia, MN, will share his deeply personal and professional journey of ministry while living with a dual diagnosis. He will explore the challenges and stigma clergy face in addressing mental health and addiction, as well as the unique strengths that come from leading with lived experience. In 2024, Rev. Perry authored the devotional Our Stigma, which furthers his commitment to breaking down barriers in faith communities.
This webinar is hosted by the Rev. George A. Wood and is presented by the Center of Addiction & Faith. Whether you are a pastor, church leader, or someone seeking a deeper understanding of faith and mental health, this conversation will provide powerful insights and encouragement.
