ELCA Coaching Webinar Tackles Political Divides in Congregations

Amidst our rapidly polarizing world, it's crucial for faith communities to navigate the challenges of discord and division with grace and wisdom. This is why the ELCA Coaching network is offering a vital session titled "Responding to Polarization." The session is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, and will feature Dr. Matt Cook, Director of the Center for Healthy Churches.

During this one-hour Zoom meeting, Dr. Cook will guide participants through the complexities of political and cultural polarization affecting our congregations. With his extensive experience in American Religious History and as a former pastor, Dr. Cook brings invaluable insights into fostering understanding and unity in our communities.

Participants will explore essential questions such as how to love everyone while speaking the truth and maintaining humility in our assertions. The session aims to equip church leaders with strategies to avoid vilifying those with differing views and to engage in more constructive and empathetic dialogues.

Join us to deepen your understanding and to discover effective ways to respond to polarization without compromising the integrity and loving nature of our community. This is a chance to strengthen our collective resolve to nurture a space where every voice is heard and valued.
