Discover the Impact of Your Generosity at the ELCA Youth Gathering 2024

This summer, the ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans isn’t just a meeting place for spiritual growth and community—it’s a frontline for fighting hunger. The Gathering features an opportunity for our youth to engage deeply with ELCA World Hunger through an immersive learning experience in the Interactive Learning Space.

At this space, participants will navigate the harsh realities faced by those living in poverty through a role-playing game designed to educate and inspire. Here, every decision highlights the daily challenges and tough choices faced by our most vulnerable populations, as well as the transformative work done by partners of ELCA World Hunger.

In addition to learning, there’s a powerful way to act. A special offering at the Gathering will support the Generation Zero-Hunger initiative. Remarkably, every gift given during this event will be matched dollar for dollar up to $250,000, effectively doubling the impact of your donation.

Donations can be made online anytime via ELCA.org/GiveGZH, now accepting Apple Pay and Google Pay, or in person at the Gathering. Look for the fish-shaped donation box in the Interactive Learning Space to contribute by cash or check. For those unable to attend, checks can be mailed to ELCA P.O. Box 1809, Merrifield, VA 22116-8009, payable to “ELCA World Hunger” with “Generation Zero-Hunger” noted in the memo line.
