Christ Lutheran Sedona Among 2024 ELCA Disability Ministries Grant Recipients
The ELCA Disability Ministries is excited to announce the recipients of the 2024 Disability Ministries Grants! This year, Christ Lutheran Church in Sedona, a congregation of our very own Grand Canyon Synod, has been selected for funding, alongside seven other ministries across the country. We are thrilled to see Christ Lutheran recognized for their commitment to creating a more inclusive and welcoming church for all people.
This year’s grants will support impactful projects at:
• Christ Lutheran Church (Sedona, Ariz.)
• Cross Lutheran Church (Milwaukee, Wis.)
• The Dwelling (Winston-Salem, N.C.)
• FedUp Ministries (Ann Arbor, Mich.)
• Good Trouble Church (Baltimore, Md.)
• Lifeline Partnership (Washington, D.C.)
• St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church (North Hollywood, Calif.)
• St. Michael’s Lutheran Church (Roseville, Minn.)
We rejoice with Christ Lutheran Sedona and all the grant recipients for their innovative and inspiring projects. These ministries embody the Lutheran commitment to inclusion, hospitality, and love for our neighbors. Stay tuned for a future blog post highlighting each recipient’s project in detail.
In addition to celebrating these grantees, the ELCA Disability Ministries Advisory Team is looking for one or two volunteers to join their mission. If you’re passionate about fostering inclusion in the church, consider applying! Visit the ELCA blog for details.
