Join us as we commemorate a significant milestone — the 50th anniversary of ELCA World Hunger — on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. Central time via Zoom. This special World Food Day event will feature stories of transformation and hope from our partners around the globe, highlighting the impact of ELCA World Hunger in its mission to create a just world where all are fed.

Presiding Bishop Elizabeth Eaton will deliver a special video message, reflecting on the profound change this ministry has brought to communities worldwide. From farming innovations in China’s Yunnan province to urban agricultural initiatives like Tapestry Farms in the U.S. Midwest, these partnerships continue to make a difference in the lives of many, thanks to the generosity of ELCA members and congregations.

You’ll also hear directly from Educación Popular en Salud (EPES), a health organization in Chile, and other partners who are working alongside ELCA World Hunger to uplift communities through sustainable solutions. Together, we can celebrate the past 50 years and renew our commitment to a future where everyone has enough to eat.
